A City of Dream Chasers

Urban Dream Chasers' "Level Up" is a dynamic initiative transforming Philadelphia's youth landscape. Amid the city's challenges, we're a sanctuary—a lifeline—for young people seeking safety, empowerment, and a shot at a better future.

Our vibrant, well-equipped space includes gaming and entertainment facilities, a dance studio, and relaxed corners to unwind from the city's stresses. But more than that, we're an oasis of hope, offering FREE educational assistance, mentoring, and meals to over a thousand of our most disadvantaged youth weekly.

We embrace the acronym "L.I.F.E.," which embodies our vision to bring about change in the face of so much death and disparity in our city:

LOCATE
We attract over 1500 youth weekly from high-risk neighborhoods through our thrilling events in our 12,000 sq. ft. space.

IDENTIFY
We get to know our youth better by serving free meals tied to a confidential questionnaire that helps us understand their needs.

FORTIFY
We strengthen their needs, from tutoring to counseling, court advocacy or family resources; we provide comprehensive support.

EXEMPLIFY
We proudly showcase our youth as empowered leaders, challenging stereotypes and changing Philadelphia's youth narrative.

Holistic Mentoring

Level Up offers a holistic mentoring system, providing a suite of services including performing arts, academic tutoring, leadership development, counseling, court advocacy, and job placements. Our unique peer-to-peer mentoring roles empower our young adults to become catalysts for positive change, thereby reducing gun violence and altering the narrative for our city.

Weekly Gatherings

Twice a week, our safe haven is a bustling haven of activity. Recreational areas hum with energy, while quiet rooms offer opportunities for one-on-one tutoring, college preparation, and career advice. Above all, our gatherings embody the spirit of community. Over hearty meals, we celebrate achievements, welcome newcomers, and offer a comforting shoulder during the tough times.

Monthly Gathering

Our monthly Friday night events are a sensation, drawing over 1000 young people from across Philadelphia. With security from their own neighborhoods, our youth experience an atmosphere of non-violent fun, featuring bull rides, moon bounces, music, food, and dance battles.
